Police continue to appeal for information to help piece together the events leading up to the serious assault and death of 21-year-old Erica Liddy on April 12.
Around 1.30am on Tuesday April 12, Erica was discovered unconscious at a bus stop next to the intersection of Kamerunga and Old Smithfield roads, Freshwater.
Ms Liddy was transported to the Cairns Base Hospital where she later died on April 15.
Ms Liddy is described as being of Aboriginal appearance and was located was wearing a black t-shirt with the logo "LOVE IS THE NEW DRUG" and black shorts.
Police are appealing for the man who called emergency services around 1.30am that morning from a nearby phone box.
This man is not a suspect, however, it is believed he may possess information vital to the investigation.
Police are also appealing for information surrounding a green Holden Commodore sedan that may have been in the Mooroobool area on the evening of Monday, April 11.
