Detectives from State Crime Operations, Metro South Region and South Eastern Region have charged two men and a boy following investigations into a number of armed robberies in the Logan and South Brisbane areas.
The arrests have come as part of Operation Juliet Magnetic with offence dates ranging from mid March through to early May.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with:
• 6x armed robbery in company
• 7x enter premises and commit indictable offence by break
• 1x enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence
• 1x going armed so as to cause fear
• 2x stealing
• 1x unlawful use motor vehicle
• 2x unlawful use of motor vehicle used for indictable offence
• 1x wilful damage
• 1x attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence
• 1x attempted armed robbery in company
He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 1992.
A 22-year-old Kingston man has been charged with:
• 4x armed robbery
• 1x attempted armed robbery
• 1x unlawful use of motor vehicle used for indictable offence.
He is expected to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
A 17-year-old Kingston man has been charged with:
• 1x enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence
• 2x unlawful use of motor vehicle used for indictable offence
• 2x enter premises and commit indictable offence
• 1x possess tainted property and
• a drug matter.
He is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
